15 Months

Leah's been looking so grown up lately. Take a look at these pictures to prove it.

Leah's recent developments have been saying and copying more words.

Leah can say: eye, this, up, light, all done, juice, Ah Oh, baby to name a few.

Leah also start the actions for these songs only after a few words have been sung: "I'm a little tea pot", "If your happy and you know it" and "Itsy, Bitsy Spider"

It just amazes me everyday how she's growing up.

Train Ride

Friday night Leah, John and I went over to Rosedale mall to walk around and grab something to eat. Leah enjoyed the best macaroni and cheese ever made at Panera and I got to try their new mint chocolate cookie! YUM!

We then headed over to the train! Leah really enjoyed the 5 minute ride around the mall in a 5 car miniature train. She waved and smiled as she looked out the car. Don't tell me how the conductor navigates through the busy crowd but she did a great job! We had a great night!!!

New cousin

Leah has another new cousin, Connor! He was born on Wednesday, December 8 at 209am. He is Leah's 7th cousin! We have not yet had the opportunity to meet him yet but will hopefully see him sometime this week.

Play dough

Leah did something crazy the other day that is just another sign she's growing up! She went into the open closet and found her tube of Play dough, then headed for the dining room table. She pulled out the chair and started climbing up. "I wanted to play mommy" was going though her mind. She had played few times before with me so she knew the dining room table is where we played with Play dough. Its really cool that she's starting to put things together and knows whats going on.

Christmas tree and snowsuit

On Saturday we went out to Hudson, WI to cut down our Christmas tree. It was pretty cold outside so we dressed Leah in her new snowsuit that John has gotten as a Black Friday sale! Way to go John!! Leah looked pretty cute in her snowsuit, boots, hat and new waterproof mittens. The mittens had a tough time staying on her hands so we decided a new invention is needed to keep them on. (Engineers Gretchen and Kirby we need your help) She had a hard time walking around in her new BIG outfit but I think she enjoyed her time finding the perfect tree. We got our tree home and set it up. It's beautiful! I love Christmas! Leah actually has not been too interested in the tree or any of the other Christmas decor which is surprising. I was picturing our tree with ornaments only on the top half but they're nicely dispersed. Leah is such an amazing gift and its so fun and rewarding to watch her grow.

Growing Up!

Leah is growing up! It's exciting and it's kind of sad. She can understand a lot of things we ask her to do like: "Leah, get Maddie and Rascal a treat" "take off your hat" "are you all done?" and more. Sometimes I'll sing in the car to keep her entertained and she'll make different responses whether she likes, dislikes or wants me to sing the song again. When its time for Maddie and Rascal to go potty, I'll yell out through the patio door "Maddie go potty!" Leah will help me out by also yelling at Maddie! I really don't know what she's yelling but its cute :)

Leah also has been going to bed with a lot less pain and stress. Which is really nice and I hope I didn't just jinx myself!

Choo Choo!

Leah got her first train ride yesterday at Rosedale mall! Train ride in a mall? Well, in the middle of the mall they have a small train with about 3-4 cars that brings riders throughout the lower level of the mall. It's inexpensive and a great experience! We also got the opportunity to ride on the same train as Santa!! Leah was a little apprehensive at first but really enjoyed her ride and even waved as we rode around. We might have to ride again!
